Manila Web Seminar

Keith and Bill Hennessy, a colleague from Network 211, participated in a Web evangelism seminar sponsored by Asia Pacific Media Ministries in Manila. (click read more to see some photos)

The seminar was intended to share the ministry of sharing the gospel via the internet. Keith and Bill shared during the first 3 days. We described the two primary thrusts of the evangelism ministry of Network211:

• Developing websites which are primarily evangelistic. Many churches and organizations have websites, but the real question is: "can someone find Christ on your website?" Network211's primary evangelism website is JourneyAnswers.com. This website focuses on ten felt needs of the general public. A video messages deals with each felt need and each video concludes with a challenge for people to turn their lives over the Christ.
• The second thrust is the development and deployment of an online, secure follow-up application. Once a person completes the form on the website, his or her inquiry is sent to a team of Christian "connectors," individuals who can answer their questions, give them encouragement, further information and pray for them.

The Seminar was held in Ortigas Center area, not far from the Makati business district. Keith and Joy spent nine months ministering in Manila in 2003-2004 while Rob was completing his high school education in Manila.
